VEHICLE RECOGNITION QUIZ
This Friday, 24th February 7:30 for 8:00 Truro and District Motor Club are running quiz at the County Arms, Truro TR1 3PY. Series of photographs, slides and model vehicles for you to indentify. Entry is £5.00 per team member, teams of two or three (ie £10 or £15) cheques made payable to Truro and District Motor Club. Sorry late providing details but only received Tuesday morning. TREASURE HUNT
Treasure Hunt in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, Sunday 11th March at 2pm from Healy's Cider Farm, Penhallow, Truro, TR4 9LW (Lunch at 12.30 if you would like to meet before the event). Being organised by Truro and District Motor Club, entry is open to any type of car, entry fee is £10 per car. Take passengers to help answer the clues, the route on lanes near Truro will take about 2 hours, no knowledge or maps required - it is not a speed event. More info and entry forms from

CAR SHOW FALMOUTH FIRE STATION:
The club has been invited to a car event at Falmouth fire station on Tuesday 27th  March between 6:00 and 10:00pm. Young drivers will be invited to discuss their attitudes about driving too fast and reducing injuries on the road, Falmouth has the most incidents within this age group in the county. In the past only modified cars have been shown with over 50 cars attending but the fire station are hoping to include some sports cars, they have an Audi R8 attending. If you would like to attend please send a note to the 'forum' page in order that we can give numbers to the fire station.

DRIVE IT in Cornwall
Around 80 miles of scenic motoring in Cornwall including some roads through four private estates. All driving enthusiasts welcome on Sunday 22nd April, organised by The Rotary Club of Truro www.rotarytruro.org in support of Shelter Box, Cornwall Air Ambulance and James Parkinson Centre. The event is not a speed event, will start from Priory Car Park, Bodmin at 10:00am and is open to all makes and models of motor cars, vehicle entry fee is minimum of £40 which includes a souvenir rally plate, breakfast and afternoon tea refreshments for 2 occupants, additonal crew or passengers may be carried subject to a supplementary fee. Further details and entry forms will be brought to the March meeting, maximum of only 100 cars. Closing date for entries to be received by 9th April 2012.

CAR SHOWS

There are two car shows being organised by the National Trust, the first is a Vintage Jaguar Car Display set within the gardens at Trengwainton, near Penzance TR20 8RZ on Sunday 29th April, 11:00am to 3:00pm.

The second is unfortunately on a Monday at East Pool Mine near Redruth, TR15 3ED. Classic cars and vintage vehicles on Monday 30th April between 11:00am and 4:00pm
